Business events association beam has revealed key leadership changes as it prepares to celebrate its 2026 Gala Dinner. Current Chair Louisa Watson will step down after a year of notable achievements, with the transition set to take place on 30 January 2026 at The Belfry’s Masters Suite during the organisation’s flagship gala event.

David Tremmil, Managing Director of Inloco Events and Beam's outgoing Vice Chair, will take on the role of Chair from 1 February 2026, bringing continuity and industry experience to the position. Alongside him, Linden Beattie, General Manager of the Down Hotel, Spa & Estate, will step into the Vice Chair role while continuing his responsibilities as Finance Director. These appointments underline beam’s commitment to strong representation across agencies, venues, and suppliers within the business events ecosystem.

During her tenure, Watson led a period of strategic progress, including the development of best practice guidance for MICE service charges, a refreshed Code of Practice, and high-level advocacy that saw 19 new SIC codes submitted for official review. Under her leadership, beam’s 2025 programme delivered standout forums, collaborative events, and strengthened partnerships.

Tremmil and Beattie’s leadership is expected to build on this momentum as the association steps into a new chapter in 2026.
