Beam Appoints New Chair and Vice Chair Ahead of 2026 Gala Dinner

Business events association beam has revealed its new leadership lineup as it prepares to celebrate at its 2026 Gala Dinner. Effective 1 February 2026, industry veteran David Tremmil steps into the role of Chair, while Linden Beattie assumes the position of Vice Chair. These appointments mark a new chapter following the impactful tenure of outgoing Chair Louisa Watson, who will officially hand over at the gala event on 30 January 2026 at The Belfry’s Masters Suite.

Tremmil, Managing Director of Inloco Events, brings continuity to the role after previously serving as Vice Chair and collaborating closely with Watson. Beattie, who currently serves as Finance Director and General Manager at Down Hotel, Spa & Estate, will continue to provide financial oversight while taking on expanded leadership responsibilities. The leadership change underlines beam’s commitment to strong representation across agencies, venues, and suppliers in the business events sector.

Under Watson’s leadership, beam made notable strides, including advancing best practice guidance for MICE service charges, reviewing its Code of Practice, and leading significant advocacy efforts alongside industry partners. The association also delivered a robust events programme in 2025 and strengthened strategic partnerships to support members’ growth.
