Brisbane is currently hosting the 45th Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE25), the Southern Hemisphere's largest tourism trade event, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event brings together over 1,500 exhibitors and more than 720 international buyers from 31 countries, showcasing Queensland's diverse tourism offerings.

ATE25 is a collaborative effort between Tourism Australia, Tourism and Events Queensland, and the Brisbane Economic Development Agency. The event is expected to inject approximately $9 million into Queensland's economy. Notably, 169 Queensland tourism operators, including 17 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses, are participating, marking the state's most significant presence at the trade show to date.

Premier David Crisafulli highlighted the event's significance in promoting Queensland ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Minister for Environment and Tourism, Andrew Powell, emphasized Brisbane's transformation since it last hosted ATE 17 years ago, noting the city's readiness to showcase its attractions to a global audience.

In addition to the main event, Tourism and Events Queensland organized 63 familiarization programs for international media and trade representatives, offering firsthand experiences of 346 Queensland tourism products across the state.
