ICC Wales and Business of Events Collaborate on Extensive UK Inclusion Research
INDUSTRY NEWS
7/23/20251 min read

ICC Wales has joined forces with The Business of Events to launch a comprehensive research initiative aimed at improving accessibility and inclusion within the UK’s business events sector. This UK-wide study gathers insights from venues and event organisers to identify current challenges, best practices, and future aspirations. The project is supported by the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Events, highlighting its significance in shaping future industry policies.
The research seeks to uncover barriers experienced by attendees, especially those with disabilities, and explore ways to enhance venue facilities and service delivery. By engaging with a broad professional audience from event managers and conference planners to facilities teams and venue operators the study will help build a clear picture of the industry's priorities and gaps in inclusion.
Project leads emphasise that better inclusion is a competitive advantage for the sector, driving innovation and improving attendee experience. The findings are expected to form the basis of actionable recommendations for venues, organisers, and policymakers.
