In a powerful kick-off for International MICE Summit 2025 (IMS25) in Riyadh, the opening day saw over 3,000 global leaders gather well beyond the expected turnout as organisers revealed 20 major deals and memoranda of understanding reshaping the future of business events.

Among the landmark announcements: six leading international exhibition and events firms committed to opening new offices in Saudi Arabia. This expansion underscores growing global confidence in the Kingdom’s ambition to emerge as a central MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) hub.

Further boosting the sector’s footprint, the Saudi Conventions and Exhibitions General Authority (SCEGA) unveiled its 2025 Saudi Venue Infrastructure Report, which documents a 32% year-on-year increase in accredited venue capacity nationwide across 923 venues a strong sign of ongoing investment and long-term commitment to event infrastructure.

Additionally, major new events such as BAUMA Saudi Arabia and MIPIM Arabia were announced, bringing globally recognised exhibitions in construction, heavy-machinery, real estate, and investment to the region.

This surge of partnerships and infrastructure growth positions Saudi Arabia as a rising powerhouse in global event hosting, a dynamic shift likely to influence the MICE sector worldwide.
