Leading Industry Organisations Support 2025 Global Policy Forum Amid Registration Deadline

As the registration deadline approaches, leading industry organisations have expressed their support for The Business of Events' 2025 Global Policy Forum, scheduled for April 1, 2025, at IET London: Savoy Place. This pivotal event aims to explore strategies to unlock the potential and drive growth within the UK's business events economy.
The forum boasts a distinguished lineup of speakers, including Shaun Davies MP, Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Events; Dame Caroline Dinenage DBE MP, Chair of the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee; and Lord Daniel Finkelstein OBE, a renowned columnist and politician. These leaders will share insights on the current political and economic landscape affecting the events sector.
Moderated by experienced broadcaster Trish Lynch, the forum will feature discussions with Senthil Gopinath, Chief Executive of ICCA, on the opportunities business events bring to the UK economy. Additionally, Neil Brownlee, Chair of PCMA and Head of Business Events at VisitScotland, will focus on policy approaches to business events.
Kerry Prince, UK Managing Director of RX Global, will explore opportunities within the UK's exhibition and trade show sector. A session on the evolving role of Convention Bureaux, moderated by Paul Black of VisitBritain/Meet England, will include contributions from leading UK business event destinations.
Mickael Benaim, Head of Research at SFA Connect, will discuss how destinations are adapting to changing economic and political landscapes. The forum will conclude with a keynote address by Dame Caroline Dinenage DBE MP.
Mike Fletcher, Director of News & Content at The Business of Events, highlighted the forum's significance, noting the unprecedented level of interest from senior business event professionals eager to explore ways to strengthen local and national economies through business events.
