A fresh framework unveiled by event designer Daria Makieieva is making waves in the live events world combining emotional experience with thoughtful safety and accessibility planning. Based in Southern California, Makieieva has codified a four-phase process that transforms creative vision into safe, inclusive, and well-orchestrated live events.

Her methodology begins by mapping the attendee journey defining the emotional impact and desired experience. From there, the “experience architecture” phase lays out concept visuals and site-layouts in alignment with venue constraints and budget. The third phase dives deep into technical design: clear zone plans, ADA-compliant circulation, signage hierarchy, cue sheets, and contingency protocols.

Finally, during “build & show,” the plan is brought to life with on-site show calling and post-event debriefs to capture learnings. The result? Events that are not only visually and emotionally engaging but also safe, inclusive, and operationally sound with measurable metrics like guest flow, dwell times, and participation rates driving success.

As Makieieva puts it: “Great events respect time, attention and safety.” This structured approach promises to elevate standards across live event production especially for teams looking to balance creativity with responsibility.
