As 2025 unfolds, Hong Kong continues to capitalize on the robust momentum generated in the previous year. In 2024 alone, the city welcomed a remarkable 1.42 million overnight MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) visitors, marking a 10% year-on-year increase. About 50% of these visitors hailed from abroad, and exhibitions made up over 20% of MICE attendance.

Long celebrated as Asia’s premier trade show capital, Hong Kong benefits from a blend of strong government backing, world-class infrastructure, and business-friendly policies. The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) continues to shine, recovering to pre-pandemic activity levels in 2024 and hosting a full roster of 812 events, including 33 debut shows and roughly 100 international exhibitions.

This year, the city’s event calendar is vibrant, featuring over 90 trade shows organized by industry leaders such as HKTDC, Global Sources, Informa Markets, and ComAsia. Major highlights include APLF Leather, the biennial HOFEX & ProWine Hong Kong, and the return of IAAPA Expo Asia in 2026.

As Hong Kong broadens its event portfolio across art, culture, sports, and entertainment, its appeal to global exhibitors and attendees remains undiminished- and its economy continues to benefit.
