Universal Live, a leading technical production provider, is doubling down on sustainability with tangible progress. Following recent ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) certifications achieved earlier in 2025, the company has now secured ISO 20121 compliance, the global standard dedicated to sustainable event management.

Neil Clappison, Universal Live’s Special Projects and Sustainability lead, explained that while many of their practices are already aligned with eco-conscious principles, gaining the ISO 20121 certification provides a structured, accountable framework to continually improve.

Operations Director Ben Phillips emphasized that sustainability isn’t a one-off achievement: it’s a continuous journey involving ongoing review and evolution of policies, processes, and people.

The company urges the wider events industry to adopt a similar mindset—embracing incremental improvements rather than striving for perfection from the start. After all, small but consistent steps can lead to meaningful environmental impact while still delivering powerful audience experiences.
