Red Event Production, headquartered in Bedford, has expanded its capabilities by acquiring Alexander Media & Production Services (AMPS), based in Wellingborough. This strategic move brings AMPS’s long-standing reputation and client base into Red’s fold, enhancing capacity across live, hybrid, and virtual event production .

AMPS, founded over 15 years ago, is known for delivering comprehensive media and AV solutions—from corporate conferences to theater productions. The acquisition strengthens Red’s technical depth and broadens its equipment inventory, enabling faster responses to larger-scale projects .

Paul Alexander, AMPS’s founder, will stay on as an advisor to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of service. This move preserves AMPS's client-first ethos while tapping into Red’s more extensive infrastructure and operational reach .

Oliver Gee, Managing Director of Red Event Production, emphasized that the acquisition enhances their ability to deliver ambitious events through combined expertise and stronger technical support. The firm plans to strengthen its Bedford site with new job creation and expanded service offerings.
