UK Meetings Sector Celebrates Leaders as MIA Unveils 2025 miaList

The UK’s business events industry saw a major moment of recognition on 7 November 2025, as the Meetings Industry Association (MIA) unveiled its prestigious 2025 miaList in a ceremony hosted at The Belfry Hotel & Resort’s new Masters Suite.

This year’s list spotlighted ten outstanding individuals from across the sector, including Chelsea Rolfe (University of Leeds), Christine Ferris (Legacy Hotels & Resorts) and Sasha Lee (BMA House). The awards ceremony also recognised organisations judged for their exceptional contributions: ICC Wales was awarded Venue of the Year (Over 300 Delegates), and Edgbaston Park Hotel & Conference Centre snatched the title for the Under 300 Delegates category.

MIA’s newly introduced Executive Leader of the Year award went to Paul Casement of Brighter for his celebrated leadership and brand development efforts over the past year. The ceremony reflected a strong focus on innovation, diversity and sustainability, acknowledging agencies like C2Events, suppliers such as Leopold Marketing, and high-performance teams in areas ranging from destination marketing to ESG.

MIA Chief Executive Shonali Devereaux described the occasion as “a privilege to celebrate the passion, dedication and talent within our sector, these awards truly are the pride of the industry.”
